Shortbread (3)


8 oz (225g) butter
5 oz (150g) caster sugar
2 oz (50g) Farola
2 oz (50g) cornflour
10 oz (225g) plain flour


1. Cream butter and sugar together and add Farola and cornflour.
2. Add plain flour one spoonful at a time and knead gently.
3. Press mixture onto a floured surface and cut into squares.
4. Transfer squares onto a baking tray.
5. Bake in a pre-heated oven 130°C/260°F/Gas 3/4 for 15 minutes then reduce heat to 110°C/225°F/Gas ¼ for 45-50 minutes. (Do not allow to brown).
