Savoury Pork Chops
4 pork chops
1 oz (25g) cooking oil
12 oz (350g) onions, sliced
4 tomatoes, sliced
8 oz (225g) cooking apples, peeled and sliced
pinch mixed herbs
1/4 pt (150ml) stock
salt and pepper
1. Wipe chops and quickly fry in oil until brown on both sides.
2. Place onions, tomatoes and apples in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle with mixed herbs.
3. Place chops on top, add stock, and sprinkle with seasoning.
4. Cover and cook in a pre-heated oven 180°C/350°F/Gas 4 for 1½ hours.
