Quick Wholemeal Pizza


8 oz (225g) S. R. wholemeal flour
2 oz (50g) butter/margarine
pinch of salt
milk to mix

1 large onion, chopped
14 oz (400g) tin tomatoes, sieved and chopped
1 tin sweetcorn
ham/bacon, chopped
green/red pepper, chopped
cheddar cheese, grated


1. To make base, rub butter into flour and salt.
2. Bind together with sufficient milk and roll out onto a greased pizza plate.
3. Sauté onion and scatter over pizza dough.
4. Add all topping ingredients and cover thickly with cheese.
5. Bake in a pre-heated oven 200°C/400°F/Gas 6 for 1/2 hour or more.
