Pork and Beef Loaf


8 oz (225g) mince
8 oz (225g) sausage meat
1 dsp white breadcrumbs
1 small onion, grated
2 tblsp tomato ketchup
salt and pepper
1 egg, beaten
8 oz (225g) sliced, canned peaches
2 tomatoes, cut in wedges


1. Mix together mince, sausage meat, breadcrumbs, onion, ketchup, and seasoning and combine with egg.
2. Shape into a loaf and place in a baking dish.
3. Cook in a pre-heated oven 180°C/350°F/Gas 4 for 1 – 11/2 hours.
4. Remove from dish and allow to cool.
5. Decorate with peach slices and tomato wedges.
6. Serve, sliced with hot buttered toast or crispy rolls.
