Plain Baked Herring

1. Clean, scale and wash herrings.
2. Cut off tails and heads.
3. Put the fish into a greased ovenproof dish.
4. Brush with melted margarine, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
5. Cook in a pre-heated oven 160°C/325*F/Gas 3 for 20-30 minutes.
(If preferred bone and roll herring before baking.)
