1/2 cup gram flour
salt to taste
1/2 tsp ground red chillies
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
fat for deep frying
1. Make a batter of the flour and water, then add spices.
2. Cut spinach leaves in small pieces.
3. Dip in batter and deep fry in hot fat.
Note: Instead of spinach, cauliflower florets, pieces of potato, onion or cooked chicken may be used.
