Kidney Bean Bake

Serves: 4


14 oz/400g can chopped tomatoes
14 oz/400g can red kidney beans
1 large onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
dash of red wine, optional
2 oz/50g breadcrumbs
2 oz/50g grated cheese


1. Simmer tomatoes, beans, onions, garlic and wine in pan until onions are soft.
2. Mash with potato masher.
3. Place in a heatproof dish, cover with breadcrumbs and grated cheese.
4. Brown under grill.
