Custard Creams


6 oz (175g) margarine
2 oz (50g) icing sugar
6 oz (175g) plain flour
2 tblsp custard powder

Butter Icing
Cream together:
2 oz (50g) butter or margarine
4 oz (100g) icing sugar


1. Cream margarine and sugar lightly, add flour and powder and mix well together.
2. Roll into small balls, flatten and mark with a fork dipped in flour and place on a baking tray.
3. Bake in a pre-heated oven 180°C/350°F/Gas 4 for 20 minutes.
4. Cool on a wired tray and sandwich together with butter icing.
