6 oz (175g) margarine
4 oz (100g) sugar
1 tblsp syrup
5 oz (150g) rolled oats
2 oz (50g) Rice Krispies
1 oz (25g) chopped nuts
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda


1. Melt margarine, sugar and syrup in a pan.
2. Stir in dry ingredients.
3. Press mixture into an 11″ x 7″ Swiss roll tin
4. Bake in a pre-heated oven 180°C/350°F/Gas 4 for 20 minutes.
5. Mark while warm and cut into squares when cold.
