All In One Victoria Sponge
6 oz (175g) S. R. flour
1 level tsp baking powder
6 oz (175g) soft margarine
3 eggs, (size 3)
2 tblsp milk
6 oz (175g) caster sugar
1. Sieve flour with baking powder, add margarine, eggs, milk and sugar.
2. Beat with wooden spoon for 2-3 minutes or with electric beater for 1 minute.
3. Put mixture into 2 greased and floured 7″ tins and bake in a pre-heated oven 180°C/350°F/Gas 4 for 35 minutes.
4. Cool and decorate with appropriate filling and covering.
