Popular with women of all ages, the WfM Women’s Conference is a fantastic opportunity to gather together to explore a topic of interest through a range of speakers who have been involved in mission work here in Scotland and around the world.
The 2024 WfM Conference will explore our purpose and our distinct and multi-dimensional roles as women in the church. Guest speakers include Sharon Dickens (author and Director of Women’s Ministry at 20schemes) and Anne Macdonald (Student and Young Adult Worker at Bon Accord Free Church).

Meet the Speakers
Sharon Dickens
Sharon Dickens has worked in the community for over 30 years. She has been on staff at Niddrie Community Church for over 17 years, and since 2012 has been working with their church planting ministry 20schemes as Director of Women’s Ministries: speaking, teaching, training, and mentoring women in the schemes of Scotland, UK and internationally.
Sharon is originally from Edinburgh, Scotland and has two grown up children.
Sharon is the author of: ‘Unconventional: Practical Guide to Women’s Ministry in the Local Church’; ‘Unexceptional: Ordinary women doing extraordinary things through God’; ‘First Steps Series: Character: How Do I Change?’ (Book 6); ‘First Steps Series: Relationships: How Do I Make Things Right’ (Book 9)

Anne MacDonald
Anne MacDonald is a student and young adult worker at Bon Accord Free Church in Aberdeen. Her job is to equip, support and teach students and young adults to know God through his word so that they can build up the church and reflect Jesus in their lives. Anne describes the role as “an immense privilege and joy.” Anne is married to Rob and they have three children: Hannah, Luke and Jonathan.
